4 Most Common Kitchen Pests
Not many things are more upsetting than finding out that you’re experiencing a pest invasion inside your kitchen. Even the idea of pests being able to reach inside the place you store your food and have your meals is unsettling.
Below we’re going to list the four most common kitchen pests that you need to be aware of in order to protect your home and your family.
4) Ants
Perhaps ants are not as disgusting as other invaders are but carpenter ants, one of the most common pests, love places that can provide moisture and small amounts of food.
Nests can usually be found in walls our right outside of homes with ants being capable of doing quite a lot of damage. Sealing the entry points and effective action against the invasion is immediately required.
3) Flies
Is there anything more annoying than a fly inside your home while your trying to enjoy some piece of mind? How about a bunch of them!
Just like most insects, flies love the kitchen because it provides food in the form of anything greasy, moisture and organic matter. A fly invasion requires finding the breeding area, ongoing protection and sanitation.
2) Rodents
If your home became the subject of a rodents invasion then you’re into some deep trouble. Not only will rodents breed and destroy the place down but quite often they’re active during the night and aggressive if they see themselves in danger.
Rodents are able to crawl through wallboard, insulation and even wiring.
1) Cockroaches
Cockroaches are, by far, the most common kitchen invaders while being one of the hardest pests to get rid of.
Not only are cockroaches extremely adaptable, but they’re able to multiply quickly and just like most common pests, cockroaches are attracted to debris, grease, moisture, clutter, and heat. They’re hard to eliminate and almost impossible to block from a second invasion if proper protection for your home is not guaranteed.
